Alabama apostille tips:

tip 2Your document must have an original signature and embossed (raised) seal of a currently commissioned Alabama public official.

tip 2All documents in a foreign language must be accompanied by a notarized English translation.

tip 2Documents with the signature of a school official and the school seal applied by the school registrar are not acceptable. Documents must be notarized by an Alabama Notary Public before the apostille can be affixed to the document.

tip 2All birth certificates and death certificates requiring an Apostille must bear the signature of the current Alabama State Registrar Nicole Henderson Rushing. Please note that Katherine Donald's signature is no longer acceptable!

tip 2IMPORTANT! No ID is required for apostille / authentication purposes! We have noticed that some agencies in Alabma are asking for a copy of your ID, in order to evaluate your document or provide a quote! Again, no ID is required.
