Kentucky Secretary of StateKentucky apostille tips:

tip 2Documents from Kentucky Department of Vital Statistics (birth, death certificates, etc.) must be signed by the current state Registrar Christina S. Stewart. If your document is not signed by the Registrar, contact the Kentucky Department of Vital Statistics at 502-564-4212.
 
tip 2Adoption papers, diplomas and transcripts, powers of attorney, etc. must be notarized by a Registered Notary in the Commonwealth of Kentucky. The signature must be certified by the county clerk in the county where the Notary took the oath of office.
 
tip 2Divorce decrees must be signed by a judge and or circuit clerk. The signature must be certified by the county clerk in the county where the circuit court is located.
 
tip 2Diplomas and transcripts should be properly certified by School Regisrar and his/her signature must be notarized by a Kentucky notary. If you cannot obtain a certified notarized copy, please check our 24-hour apostille service.
