You need a certified copy

You were married in Las Vegas, Clark county, NV, and you have your original marriage certificate. Is it acceptable for an apostille? The answer is "No", unfortunately, original marriage certificates cannot be apostilled. You will need a certified copy issued by the County Clerk's office. 

Who issues certified copies?

A certified copy will be issued by the County Clerk's office where you obtained your marriage license. If you were married in Las Vegas, this will be Clark County Clerk. 

 Is a Power of Attorney required?

In the State of Nevada marriage certificates are public records. No power of attorney or authorization letter is required.
