Form 6166 (U.S. Residency Certification) is a letter printed on the U.S. Department of Treasury stationary certifying that an individual or a company was / is a resident of the United States for the purposes of income tax laws of the United States. You may use this form to claim income tax treaty benefits and certain other tax benefits in foreign countries. To be valid in a foreign country, Form 6166 has to be legalized with an apostille.

New Jersey Single Status certificate with an apostille

The State of New Jersey is one of very few U.S. states that issue No Record of Marriage certificates on the state level. These certificates are issued by the Bureau of Vital Statistics of the New Jersey Department of Health and Senior Services in Trenton, NJ. No Record of Marriage searches are conducted from the year the applicant turned 16 years of age to the present year.
